The Revolution Film Festival, in its 8th year, captures the indie film vibe of Austin by screening some of the coolest indies from around the world, in some of the coolest venues in town. We fill the void for truly independent films in the city of Austin, focusing on the story first, and we strive to bring unique and truly independent voices to the Texas capital.

The Austin Revolution Film Fest’s independent spirit and attitude champion the indie filmmaker as the star, creating opportunities for press, networking, and collaboration. Awards are given in dozens of categories across several genres, including features, shorts, web series, and music videos as well as a screenwriting competition for features and shorts. The prize? A very cool rodeo-style belt buckle.
